Shropshire Wildlife Trust (SWT) is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised £60,500 to further our mission of creating a thriving natural world in Shropshire. This significant funding boost underscores the vital role that robust community and corporate support play in safeguarding our region’s unique wildlife and natural habitats. SWT is passionately committed to addressing the pressing climate and ecological emergencies through innovative conservation projects, advocacy, and campaigns that inspire and empower individuals to take positive action for nature. Our organization manages over 40 nature reserves across Shropshire, including the Telford & Wrekin area, and is driven by a dedicated team of nearly 50 staff members, bolstered by 300 volunteers and supported by more than 9,000 members. As an autonomous charity, we are proud to work collectively within The Wildlife Trusts network, ensuring that every local effort resonates with national impact and contributes to addressing global environmental challenges. The funds raised will be instrumental in expanding our conservation initiatives, enhancing habitat restoration projects, and boosting our educational outreach to engage communities more effectively. We believe that through these strategic investments, we can further advance our vision of a secure and vibrant natural environment that not only addresses climate change but also enriches the lives of countless people. Our sincere thanks go out to all our supporters, and we look forward to collaborating with more businesses committed to sustaining Shropshire’s wild spaces.
