Grand Challenges Canada is thrilled to announce a successful funding round that raised $250,000 to further empower its mission of supporting Bold Ideas with Big Impact®. This funding milestone is a testament to our commitment to Integrated Innovation®, where science and technology meet social and business innovation to solve some of the world’s most challenging issues. Backed by the Government of Canada and various esteemed partners, Grand Challenges Canada has continually demonstrated leadership in catalyzing transformational change, especially in low- and middle-income countries as well as within Canada. With this new capital injection, we will accelerate our efforts to support a dynamic pipeline of over 1,400 innovations across more than 102 countries. Our feminist investment approach and impact-first philosophy ensure that every project we support is not only innovative but also dedicated to improving lives on a grand scale.
The raised funds will be strategically deployed to identify and nurture groundbreaking ideas that have the potential to save up to 1 million lives and improve up to 28 million lives by 2030. By focusing on innovators who tackle complex societal challenges with cutting-edge technology and inventive business models, we are steering a new era of sustainable and inclusive development. The investment will enhance our capacity to offer mentorship, financial resources, and collaborative networks essential for scaling solutions that make a real difference.
