The push for sustainable materials just got a $23.1M boost, as creapaper GmbH announced its Series B funding round. The German company is tackling the paper industry's environmental footprint by producing grass fibre raw material, a greener alternative to virgin or recycled tree-based fibres. This innovative process uses significantly less energy and water, paving the way for grasspaper applications in everything from tissue to packaging, ultimately saving trees and curbing plastic pollution and CO2 emissions.
