We are thrilled to announce that Covenant House Vancouver has successfully raised $1,000,000 to further our mission of serving youth experiencing homelessness with absolute respect and unconditional love. This significant funding will empower us to enhance our comprehensive array of services aimed at young people aged 16 to 24 who have faced unimaginable challenges, such as fleeing abuse, human trafficking, or aging out of foster care without adequate support. With over 50,000 generous individuals and organizations standing behind us, we continue to provide critical resources like shelter, food, clothing, and counseling to over 100 young people each day.
The investment will bolster our three core programs: Community Support Services (CSS), which encompasses outreach and housing support; our 63-bed Crisis Program providing safe spaces for both female and male youth; and the Rights of Passage (ROP) transitional living program. Additionally, this funding will help us sustain our wrap-around services, guided by evidence-informed practices, ensuring holistic care that addresses the mind, body, and spirit of each youth we serve. Covenant House Vancouver operates with a "one size, fits one" approach to personalize care based on individual needs, allowing us to effectively meet the unique challenges each youth faces. We are deeply grateful for this support, as it allows us to continue safeguarding and empowering the most vulnerable youth in our community, giving them the tools they need for a brighter, more independent future.
