We are proud to announce that CommunityHealth has raised $4,000 to further our mission of providing comprehensive and compassionate care to Chicago鈥檚 uninsured and underserved communities. Founded in 1993, CommunityHealth has consistently been a beacon of hope in the city by offering over 17,000 medical and dental visits annually to more than 10,000 patients. With our main facility, the Lederman Family Health Center, located in the vibrant West Town neighborhood, and our satellite center in Englewood serving areas with significant need, this funding milestone reinforces our commitment to expanding quality care without financial burdens on our patients.
This new influx of resources comes through the generous support of individuals, foundations, and local institutions鈥攖rue champions of our cause. Every donation we receive amplifies the care we can deliver; in fact, each dollar contributes to over $8.00 worth of medical services. As the largest volunteer-based free medical facility in the United States, we operate solely on the dedication of over 1,000 volunteers, including 350+ providers such as physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, and counselors. Funds like these not only sustain our current operations but also empower us to explore innovative approaches to care delivery.
Moving forward, the $4,000 will be strategically allocated to enhance patient services, support our exceptional volunteer team, and bolster community outreach initiatives. We are excited by the possibilities that lie ahead as this funding enables us to touch more lives with our proven model of free, high-quality care鈥攁 model that is deeply rooted in compassion, community, and unwavering commitment to those who need us most.
