Circular Buildings Coalition is proud to announce that we have successfully raised €70,000 in new funding to accelerate our mission of creating a circular built environment. Given its immense material footprint, significant greenhouse gas emissions, and notable impact on human wellbeing, the built environment plays a pivotal role in realizing the sustainability goals outlined in the Paris Agreement and beyond. This funding milestone reinforces our commitment to bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and visionary organizations to drive a global transition toward circularity within our cities and infrastructure. The raised funds will be strategically invested to develop a common language, skills, and knowledge base essential for companies and local stakeholders to better understand how circular economy practices can deliver environmental and economic benefits. With these resources, we will intensify our efforts to stimulate demand for circular solutions, promote increased collaboration among established high-impact actors and emerging front-runner organizations, and scale best practices that address systemic challenges across local, national, and European levels. As a collaborative partnership between influential organizations such as Arup, Circle Economy Foundation, Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Metabolic, WBCSD, and WorldGBC—powered by Smith Innovation and supported by Laudes Foundation—CBC is uniquely positioned to overcome entrenched barriers in the built environment sector. This funding achievement not only validates the importance of our vision but also fuels our roadmap for creating resilient, sustainable infrastructures. Join us as we continue to lead the way toward a built environment that operates within planetary boundaries while ensuring a just transition for all.
