Canuck Place Children's Hospice has secured $900,000 in new funding from investors. Canuck Place delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to over 871 children and families from five provincial health regions. The organization operates two hospices, located in Vancouver and Abbotsford, which collectively offer 13 patient beds and 8 family suites. Its extensive range of services includes medical respite, pain and symptom management, 24-hour virtual care, music and recreation therapy, education and art programs, grief, loss, and bereavement counselling, as well as end-of-life care.
The $900,000 investment is expected to bolster Canuck Place's capacity to deliver its specialized pediatric palliative care services.
