Bridge Network is thrilled to announce a major milestone as we raise €1,100,000,000 in fresh funding, reinforcing our commitment to driving innovation across Ireland. As Ireland’s largest technology transfer consortium, established in 2017, we unite the technology transfer offices from University College Cork, Cork Institute of Technology, Teagasc, and the Institute of Technology Tralee. This significant capital injection, provided under the support of Enterprise Ireland and managed through the TTSI3 programme by Knowledge Transfer Ireland, will further empower us to elevate Ireland’s knowledge transfer ecosystem.
Our funding is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and impact of our collaborative efforts to commercialize innovations for public benefit. With these resources, Bridge Network will expand its strategic initiatives to encourage invention disclosures and secure intellectual property rights, providing vital protection and management for groundbreaking research. The consortium is poised to facilitate technology development, licensing opportunities, and foster the early-stage growth of spinout companies that drive economic prosperity. Additionally, our initiatives will strengthen effective relationships with industry partners, ensuring that the transfer of cutting-edge technology translates into real-world economic impact and job creation.
This funding milestone marks not only a financial success but a reaffirmation of our mission to bridge academia and industry seamlessly. By leveraging the collective expertise of our member institutions, we will continue to create an environment where innovative ideas can flourish, translating academic excellence into tangible benefits for the economy and society at large. We look forward to deploying these funds to support our strategic goals, nurture emerging ventures, and maintain our position at the forefront of technology transfer excellence in Ireland.
