Anise Health, a pioneering digital mental health and wellbeing platform, has successfully raised $3 million in its latest funding round to expand its services tailored specifically for communities of color, with an initial focus on the Asian American population. Founded by two remarkable minority female alumni of Harvard Business School, Anise is committed to breaking down barriers in mental health accessibility and delivering culturally-responsive care that reflects the unique experiences and challenges faced by marginalized communities. Under the expert guidance of Dr. Janie Hong, a highly respected psychologist and Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, the company is poised for growth. Dr. Hong brings invaluable expertise as a founding partner at the Redwood Center for CBT and Research, alongside her pivotal role as the chair for the Asian American in Behavior Therapy and Research Special Interest Group in the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. The funding will be instrumental in enhancing Anise's digital platform, allowing for the development of new resources and broader outreach efforts aimed at reducing stigma and promoting mental health literacy among Asian American individuals and beyond. By leveraging these funds, Anise Health aims to scale its innovative programs, reach more individuals in need, and ultimately contribute to a more equitable mental health landscape. This funding marks a significant milestone in the company’s mission to support underserved populations, empowering them to prioritize their mental wellbeing and leading the charge for inclusivity in mental health services.
