The Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club is thrilled to announce that it has successfully raised $250,000 in funding to enhance its community programs and infrastructure. As one of western Canada's premier cross-country skiing facilities, Black Jack is renowned for its expansive and diverse trails, comprehensive grooming services, and an ideal location near Rossland, making it a hub for skiing enthusiasts. Since its inception as a non-profit society in 1983, the club has fostered a rich skiing culture, attracting thousands of day-skier visits each year and hosting prestigious events such as the NorAm Canada Cups and the Canadian Masters Championship. The newly acquired funds will be instrumental in strengthening the club's infrastructure, improving skiing experiences for its over 700 members, and expanding community outreach initiatives. This funding will allow the Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club to invest in state-of-the-art grooming equipment, making the trails even more accessible and enjoyable. Additionally, it will facilitate the implementation of engaging programs tailored for all ages, with a particular focus on youth participation in Nordic skiing. As always, the club's mission remains steadfast: to build a vibrant community of Nordic skiers dedicated to excellence in programs and services. The successful fundraising achievement is a testament to the commitment of our volunteers and the generous support of our sponsors, ensuring that Black Jack continues to thrive as a top destination for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. We invite everyone to join us on this exciting journey and to experience the unparalleled beauty of winter sports at Black Jack!
