Pilots may soon have their own R2-D2 in the cockpit, thanks to Beacon AI. The Silicon Valley-based aviation software company, which develops advanced pilot assistant systems for commercial and defense aviators, has raised $215K in Seed funding.
Beacon AI's hardware-lite solution aims to enhance safety, efficiency, and situational awareness, tackling challenges like cockpit workload and data overload. The Seed round saw participation from investors including Costanoa Ventures, Scout Ventures, Sam Altman (via Apollo Projects and Hydrazine Capital), JetBlue Ventures, and Mischief.
