Aifred Health, a company dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence for personalized mental health treatment, has announced it has secured $1.0 million in new funding. This investment will support the company's mission to enhance treatment selection for mental health conditions, starting with major depression, by providing clinicians and patients with data-driven insights.
The company utilizes AI to analyze patterns in patient data, aiming to predict optimal treatment responses without relying on traditional biomarker inputs. This approach helps navigate the complexity of numerous treatments that may appear similarly effective at a population level but vary significantly for individual patients. Aifred Health's platform is designed to be treatment-agnostic, allowing it to encompass a broad spectrum of mental health conditions beyond its initial focus.
Aifred Health has previously demonstrated its technological capabilities, placing #1 in North America and #2 globally in the IBM Watson AI XPRIZE in 2021 for its AI model in personalized treatment response prediction. The company also received Health Canada approval for its platform in 2024 and has submitted for FDA approval in 2025, marking significant regulatory milestones.
This capital infusion will be deployed to accelerate the development and expansion of Aifred Health's AI platform, support its market entry strategies, and scale its operations. The company plans to use the funds to further its growth initiatives, ensuring its innovative solutions reach more patients and clinicians. Aifred Health remains focused on its core objective of bringing better mental healthcare to all through advanced AI.
