ADEM Technologies Inc. has secured $1.4 million in new investment capital from investors. The company, founded in 2009 as Advanced Energy Materials, LLC, specializes in developing advanced nanowire materials for catalysis, particularly focusing on hydrodesulfurization (HDS) and refinery applications. This funding round marks a significant step in the company's commercialization efforts for its innovative catalyst products.
ADEM's core technology centers on nanowire-based catalysts designed to remove sulfur from fuels and other industrial streams. Its HDS Catalysts are capable of reducing sulfur in diesel to below 1 ppm, a level not typically achievable with existing market products. The company also offers AdESulfur, an absorbent product for various desulfurization applications, including FCC Naphtha, Kerosene, and Natural Gas. ADEM holds a substantial patent portfolio, including 10 issued and 2 pending patents from an exclusive license agreement with the University of Louisville, alongside 7 additional pending patents for its scale-up methodology and catalyst formulations. The company has demonstrated production scale at 1 ton/day for its nanowire materials and ton scale for its catalysts.
This capital infusion is expected to accelerate ADEM Technologies Inc.'s strategic objectives. The company plans to use the funds to scale its commercial manufacturing, R&D, and testing facilities, which are already established to supply catalyst products. The investment will also support further product development, market expansion initiatives, and the deployment of its 250kg Skid unit for product and process validation at small refineries.
With this new funding, ADEM Technologies Inc. is positioned to enhance its ability to customize products for specific customer conditions and processes, offering drop-in solutions for various applications. The company aims to solidify its presence in the catalysis market, driving advancements in desulfurization technology and contributing to cleaner energy solutions.
