ACICIS Secures $1.595M Funding to Advance Educational Programs in Indonesia

We are thrilled to announce that the Australian Consortium for ‘In-Country’ Indonesian Studies (ACICIS) has successfully raised $1,595,000 to enhance our educational programs and broaden the horizons for students looking to immerse themselves in the rich culture and academic environment of Indonesia. Established in 1994, ACICIS has continuously strived to dismantle the barriers that have historically hindered Australian students from gaining accredited semester study experiences at Indonesian universities. This funding will directly support our flagship Study Indonesia Program (SIP), which now welcomes not only Australian students but also private individuals from around the globe. At our two Indonesian offices in Yogyakarta and Jakarta, our dedicated staff is committed to providing a safe and enriching educational journey, which includes pastoral support, personalized orientation sessions, and seamless integration with local universities. With the funds, we plan to expand our diverse program offerings, such as the new Law Professional Practicum and Indonesian Language Short Course, while enhancing existing programs in fields like International Relations and Development Studies. This financial boost will also allow us to improve infrastructure, ensuring that all participants benefit from a secure and supportive learning environment. We believe that cultural exchange and academic collaboration are vital to fostering global understanding and we are excited to continue our mission of facilitating transformational educational experiences in Indonesia.
