Sana Kliniken AG has acquired Vivecti Group for an undisclosed amount, marking a significant consolidation in the German healthcare sector. This transaction sees a major hospital operator buying a leading performance partner specializing in optimizing healthcare facility operations.
Vivecti Group, founded in 2015, originated from a hospital purchasing cooperative established in 1993. Under the leadership of Dr. Benjamin Behar, the company has grown to 500 employees and reported an average annual turnover of 120 million Euros over the past five years. Vivecti acts as a comprehensive partner for healthcare providers, offering extensive product and service offerings across purchasing and material cost optimization, digital products, data analytics, managed services, and consulting. Its portfolio includes entities such as Prospitalia, Pro Care Management, Wawibox, Miralytik, and Hospital Management Group (HMG).
The acquisition is strategically aimed at integrating Vivecti's specialized expertise directly into Sana Kliniken AG's operations. This will allow Sana to leverage Vivecti's considerable purchasing power, which bundles over 3.3 billion Euros in procurement volume, alongside its advanced digital tools and data analytics capabilities. Expected synergies include enhanced operational efficiency, significant cost optimization through improved material management, and strengthened administrative and technical management across Sana's network of healthcare facilities. This purchase is a move to better equip Sana for the ongoing transformation within the healthcare system.
The combined entity is poised to create a more integrated and efficient healthcare ecosystem. By bringing together a major provider with a comprehensive performance optimization specialist, the acquisition is expected to improve service delivery and drive innovation in healthcare management, ultimately benefiting patient care through streamlined operations and strategic resource allocation.
