Park Dental Partners has acquired Village Family Dental, a multi-location dental practice group based in North Carolina, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings Village Family Dental’s network of offices and its team of general and specialist dentists under Park Dental Partners’ management umbrella, marking the latest consolidation in the regional dental services market.
Village Family Dental traces its roots to 1985, when Dr. Michael Knowles founded a single-office practice in St. Pauls, North Carolina. Over nearly four decades, the group expanded to include locations in Hope Mills and Fayetteville, and it developed a model centered on delivering specialty care in-house rather than referring patients to outside clinics. The practice now includes prosthodontist Dr. Terrance Smith, pediatric dentist Dr. Faith McGibbon, and a partnership group led by managing partner Dr. Anuj James, along with affiliated entities such as Southeastern Dental Specialists and Village Kids.
For Park Dental Partners, the acquisition adds a well-established patient base and a proven operational framework in a rural and suburban market. The target company’s integrated approach to general and specialty dental services aligns with Park Dental Partners’ focus on comprehensive care delivery. By absorbing Village Family Dental’s existing infrastructure, the acquirer gains immediate scale in North Carolina without the need to build new clinics from the ground up.
The deal is expected to streamline administrative functions, including billing, supply procurement, and regulatory compliance, across the combined practice network. Village Family Dental’s clinicians will continue to serve their current patient populations, while Park Dental Partners will provide back-office support and capital for facility upgrades.
