LJP Waste Solutions has acquired United Grease & Lubricants (UGL), a prominent Grease and Lubricants manufacturing company based in the United Arab Emirates, for an undisclosed amount. This corporate acquisition marks a significant strategic move, integrating UGL's established production capabilities into LJP Waste Solutions' portfolio.
United Grease & Lubricants, founded in 1998, operates an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility in Ajman, holding the Emirates Quality Mark. The company specializes in toll blending services and produces its own brands, including SCOPE, DYNAM, EUROIL, and TEXAS. With a substantial capacity of 140,000 metric tons per year, UGL manufactures a comprehensive range of lubricant products, from automotive and marine to industrial and specialty lubricants, as well as Lithium and Calcium-based greases. Its market reach extends across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, India Subcontinent, Central Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America. UGL is known for its commitment to high-quality blending solutions, utilizing 100% virgin base oils and OEM-approved additives, supported by a dedicated Research & Development team.
The acquisition is strategically poised to create synergies by combining LJP Waste Solutions' expertise with UGL's manufacturing prowess and deep understanding of lubricant lifecycles. This integration could enable LJP Waste Solutions to enhance its offerings by gaining direct insight into lubricant production and potentially developing more comprehensive, sustainable solutions for industrial materials management. UGL's extensive product portfolio and global distribution network also present opportunities for market expansion and diversification for the acquiring entity.
This transaction underscores a move towards more integrated approaches in industrial resource management. The combined entity is expected to leverage UGL's technical expertise and production capabilities to innovate within the broader industrial solutions landscape, aiming for enhanced operational efficiencies and expanded service offerings across its diverse customer base.
