Titan Cement Company SA has acquired Traçim Çimento for $190,000,000. This corporate acquisition sees Titan Cement taking ownership of a significant cement production asset in Turkey, marking a strategic expansion for the international cement producer. Traçim Çimento is a prominent player in the Turkish cement industry, known for its modern facilities and substantial production capabilities in the Trakya region.
Traçim Çimento operates the newest and largest integrated cement factory in Turkey’s Trakya region. Its facility, located in the Vize district of Kırklareli, spans 300,000m² and boasts a 5,000 ton daily clinker capacity. Having obtained official permits in 2005, the company achieved an annual production capacity of 2 million tons in 2008, supplying a range of cement products, including CEM I and CEM II types, and klinker. Traçim Çimento also engages in export, reaching markets across Europe, America, and Africa, in addition to neighboring countries such as Bulgaria, Greece, and Serbia. The factory was established with a focus on international standards, environmental principles, and state-of-the-art machinery.
This acquisition is strategically significant for Titan Cement, enhancing its production footprint and market presence in Turkey and the broader region. By integrating Traçim Çimento’s modern facility and its substantial clinker and cement production capabilities, Titan Cement is poised to strengthen its operational network. The move also aligns Titan with Traçim’s established commitment to sustainability, environmental management, and advanced production techniques. The combination of Titan Cement’s global expertise with Traçim Çimento’s modern infrastructure and established market reach is expected to create valuable synergies, particularly in serving both domestic Turkish demand and international export markets. The combined entity aims to leverage these strengths for continued growth and efficiency.
