Portland Bolt & Manufacturing

Wholesale Building Materials

Portland Bolt & Manufacturing has acquired Threadline Products, Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The transaction, completed under terms not publicly released, transfers ownership of the North Carolina-based fastener and fabrication specialist to the Portland, Oregon-headquartered industrial fastener manufacturer.

Threadline Products, Inc., operating since 1984, serves the construction industry with domestic cut threaded rods ranging from ¼” to 6” in diameter. The company fabricates custom items including anchor bolts, double end rods, U-bolts, threaded rebar, and threaded rod, with certification available on anchor bolt orders. Its product line has expanded to include embeds, plates, lintels, pipe bollards, angle frames, grout pots, and dumpster gates. The firm holds W.B.E., S.B.E., D.B.E., and H.U.B. certifications with the state of North Carolina and maintains carbon, stainless, and alloy materials in stock for emergency fabrication needs, supported by certified welders on staff.

Portland Bolt & Manufacturing, known for its own line of heavy-duty fasteners and anchor bolts, gains a complementary production facility and an expanded geographic footprint in the southeastern United States. The acquisition brings Threadline’s fabrication capabilities-particularly its custom rod and structural steel offerings-under the same ownership as Portland Bolt’s existing operations. For Threadline, the deal provides access to Portland Bolt’s broader distribution network and manufacturing resources, while preserving its established customer service model and vendor relationships.

The combined entity is expected to offer a wider range of stock and custom products across both regions, with Threadline continuing to operate under its existing name and leadership structure. The integration of Portland Bolt’s engineering expertise with Threadline’s flexible fabrication approach may allow for faster turnaround on complex orders, particularly for projects requiring certified materials and welds. Both companies have indicated that current customer contracts and delivery schedules remain unaffected during the transition.
