MazeMap has acquired Thing-it for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition, which was completed in August 2025, sees Thing-it, a Frankfurt-based software company, become a part of MazeMap’s operations. Thing-it has been developing an innovative workplace experience platform since 2016, designed to help large companies optimize space management and foster motivating working environments through customized sharing and rightsizing concepts.
Thing-it's platform provides comprehensive solutions for modern hybrid working models, covering booking scenarios for rooms, desks, and car parks. Its sensor-driven utilization analysis generates detailed data for strategic decision-making, while a user-friendly app allows employees to flexibly organize their workday and book workplaces. The company, which guarantees high security standards and seamless integration, including extensive MS 365 compatibility, serves over 50,000 users across 28 countries, having optimized workplace experience in over 1,000 offices globally with presence in Europe and the USA.
This acquisition is strategically driven by the opportunity to combine Thing-it's expertise in space efficiency and workplace experience with MazeMap’s established leadership in indoor navigation. The integration is expected to deliver a new standard of user-centric workplace experience, offering a more unified and intuitive environment for employees within large organizations.
The combined entity will focus on creating intelligent, seamlessly integrated solutions that enhance both operational efficiency and user satisfaction in corporate settings. By integrating space management, booking functionalities, and indoor navigation, MazeMap aims to provide a comprehensive offering that addresses the evolving demands of dynamic workplaces and supports future models of work globally.
