Deel has acquired Snappt, an AI-powered Applicant Trust Platform for multifamily property managers, for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings Snappt’s fraud detection technology under Deel’s broader suite of global workforce and payment solutions, though Deel has not disclosed further financial terms.
Snappt, founded in 2019, specializes in identifying document alterations for multifamily housing providers. Its platform has analyzed over 15 million documents with a reported accuracy rate of 99.8%, positioning it as a market leader in fraud detection. The company also conducts proactive fraud research and was named to the Inc. 5000 list for the second consecutive year. Deel, known for its payroll, compliance, and contractor management tools, is expanding its reach beyond traditional HR services into property management operations.
The acquisition is strategic for Deel as it seeks to diversify its customer base beyond tech and remote-first companies. By integrating Snappt’s capabilities, Deel can offer property managers a tool that reduces bad debt and evictions while streamlining leasing workflows. For Snappt, joining Deel provides access to a larger distribution network and resources to scale its fraud detection research, which has been a differentiator in a crowded market.
The transaction is expected to close in the coming months, pending standard regulatory approvals. Post-acquisition, Snappt’s team is anticipated to remain intact, with its technology folded into Deel’s existing product ecosystem. The combined entity will target both current Deel clients in real estate and Snappt’s established multifamily customer base, though specific integration timelines have not been announced.
