Convey has acquired Selectron Technologies, Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings the government-focused technology provider under Convey’s ownership, with Selectron’s operations and product lines set to continue as part of the larger organization.
Selectron Technologies has spent more than 65 years serving local and state governmental agencies exclusively. Its platform supports over 600 partners with self-service and workforce efficiency tools, including IVR, web, mobile applications, and interactive texting. The company also provides a full suite of secure, PCI-compliant payment options, backed by Level 1 PCI compliant processing and PA-DSS verified applications hosted in its own data center. Convey, the acquiring firm, adds these capabilities to its existing portfolio, which focuses on payment and engagement solutions for public sector clients.
The acquisition is strategic for Convey because it expands the company’s reach into the government vertical with a mature, specialized product set. Selectron’s long-standing relationships with hundreds of agency partners offer a ready-made distribution channel for Convey’s broader services. For Selectron, joining Convey provides access to additional resources and technical infrastructure, which could accelerate product development and support for its existing customer base.
The combined entity will operate with Selectron’s current team and technology intact, while Convey integrates the acquired solutions into its own service framework. Clients of both companies are expected to see continued support for existing systems, with potential for expanded offerings as the integration progresses. The deal does not include any disclosed changes to leadership or staffing at this time.
With the ownership transfer complete, the focus now shifts to how Convey leverages Selectron’s government expertise to deepen its own public sector footprint. The acquisition positions the combined company to offer a broader range of payment and engagement tools to agencies, while maintaining the reliability that Selectron’s partners have relied on for decades.
