Acclime has acquired Polar 993, an Australian Financial Services Licence holder, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings Polar 993’s specialist licensing, trustee, and fund administration operations under Acclime’s corporate services umbrella, expanding the acquirer’s footprint in the Australian investment management sector.
Polar 993 provides a one-stop solution for investment managers, covering licensing, structure, trustee services, online application and registry, fund administration, and distribution and marketing. It also arranges Corporate Authorised Representative appointments for domestic and offshore managers and acts as trustee for wholesale funds and managed investment trusts. The firm’s additional expertise in capital raising and distribution rounds out its service offering.
For Acclime, the acquisition adds a regulated financial services capability that complements its existing governance, compliance, and accounting services. The deal is strategic in that it allows Acclime to serve fund managers directly, from initial licensing through to ongoing administration, without relying on third-party providers. Polar 993’s existing client base and regulatory know-how provide a ready-made platform for cross-selling Acclime’s broader corporate services.
The combined entity is expected to offer a more integrated value chain for investment managers seeking to establish or scale funds in Australia. Acclime gains a licensed infrastructure that can support both local and offshore managers entering the market, while Polar 993’s distribution and trustee functions gain access to Acclime’s wider regional network. No changes to Polar 993’s current operations or client arrangements have been announced.
The acquisition positions Acclime to deepen its presence in the Australian funds sector, with Polar 993’s capabilities likely to be folded into Acclime’s existing service lines over the coming quarters. Further integration details are expected as the two firms align their operational frameworks.
