Pocket Planet has acquired Pocket Planet Canada, the Toronto-based miniature attraction previously known as Little Canada, for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings the flagship location under the direct ownership of the broader Pocket Planet brand, which operates miniature worlds in other markets. The transaction was completed following a period in which the Canadian site had already adopted the Pocket Planet name.
Pocket Planet Canada, which opened in 2021 as Little Canada, is a large-scale exhibition that recreates the country in miniature form. Its displays include detailed landscapes, cityscapes, and landmarks, built with a focus on craftsmanship and interactive storytelling. The attraction uses immersive technology to animate scenes and guide visitors through thousands of small narratives. It has drawn both domestic and international visitors since its debut and is located in central Toronto.
For Pocket Planet, the acquisition consolidates control over its most prominent venue. The Canadian site had operated under a licensing or franchise-style arrangement, and this purchase simplifies governance and aligns the location more closely with the parent company’s long-term product roadmap. The move allows Pocket Planet to integrate the Toronto attraction into its broader operational framework, including shared technology development and content production.
The combined entity is expected to benefit from closer coordination in areas such as exhibit design, software updates, and guest experience management. Pocket Planet Canada will retain its current location and core team, but will now have direct access to the parent company’s resources for future expansions and renovations. The acquisition also removes any potential friction between brand identity and ownership, ensuring that the Canadian flagship evolves in step with other Pocket Planet properties.
With the ownership structure now unified, Pocket Planet can proceed with planned upgrades to the Toronto attraction, including new interactive elements and refreshed storytelling modules. The company is also positioned to replicate successful features from the Canadian site across its other locations, while continuing to develop the miniature entertainment format as a distinct category in the leisure industry.
