FirstCry.com (BrainBees Solutions Ltd.) has acquired PlasmaGen BioSciences (P) Ltd for an undisclosed amount. PlasmaGen BioSciences, established in 2010 in Bengaluru, is India’s first company dedicated to Plasma Protein Therapeutics. It focuses on addressing the significant unawareness about plasma benefits, which historically led to substantial blood wastage in India. The company's core mission involves the management of plasma, marketing of plasma products, and bridging the demand and supply gap for these critical products across the country, thereby enhancing patient health and quality of life.

PlasmaGen has been instrumental in creating awareness among blood banks and the public, while also passionately advocating for patients with rare and genetic diseases such as Hemophilia, Thalassemia, Sickle-cell anemia, and Primary immunodeficiencies. To further its vision of making India self-reliant in plasma-derived medicinal products, PlasmaGen is nearing completion of a manufacturing plant in Kolar, Bengaluru. This facility is designed to significantly contribute to the nation's self-sufficiency ratio for these vital medical resources.

This acquisition marks a strategic expansion for FirstCry.com (BrainBees Solutions Ltd.) into the critical healthcare and biotechnology sector. The move is expected to leverage PlasmaGen’s specialized expertise and infrastructure in plasma protein therapeutics and rare disease management. Synergies could arise from FirstCry’s broader market presence and operational capabilities supporting PlasmaGen’s mission to scale its awareness initiatives and product distribution, ultimately accelerating its goal of improving public health outcomes and achieving national self-reliance in plasma products.

The combined entity is poised to strengthen efforts in healthcare innovation and accessibility. PlasmaGen’s dedicated work in plasma protein therapeutics and rare disease awareness will continue, now bolstered by the resources and strategic direction of FirstCry.com, aiming for a greater impact on patient care and India's healthcare landscape.
