Osirium, a UK software development team, has pioneered Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. Osirium’s virtual appliance recognizes identities, creates secure connections to systems, and performs single sign-on and password lifecycle management. This approach enables organizations to safely outsource, manage vast numbers of account credentials, and maintain compliance, preventing attacks on highly sensitive accounts through features like Privileged Task Automation and session recording.
This acquisition underscores SailPoint’s strategy to expand its identity security offerings. SailPoint aims to broaden the scope of identity security to encompass comprehensive visibility, oversight, and protection across all forms of access, from standard user privileges to highly sensitive system credentials, within a unified solution.
