Macnica Americas has acquired Orangeleaf Consulting, a Malaysia-founded digital transformation and enterprise software consultancy, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings Orangeleaf’s regional operations across Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan under the ownership of Macnica Americas, a subsidiary of Japan’s Macnica Inc., a major technology distributor and solutions provider.
Orangeleaf, established in 2018, specialises in helping enterprises turn strategy into software through business consulting, enterprise software engineering, AI-enabled solutions, low-code application development, systems integration, and process optimisation. The company operates as Orangeleaf Consulting Holdings and has built a client base across Southeast Asia and Japan. Macnica Americas, part of the broader Macnica group, focuses on distributing and integrating advanced electronic components and technology solutions, with a strong presence in the Americas and Asia.
The acquisition is driven by a shared focus on accelerating digital transformation across Asia. For Macnica Americas, Orangeleaf provides an established delivery capability in enterprise software and consulting that complements its existing technology portfolio. For Orangeleaf, the deal offers access to Macnica’s broader network, including its parent company’s relationships with global technology vendors and its scale in the Japanese market. The combined entity is expected to expand Orangeleaf’s reach beyond its current regional footprint while deepening its ability to deliver end-to-end digital projects.
Orangeleaf will continue to operate under its existing brand and leadership, with its stated commitment to integrity, excellence, and a people-first culture remaining intact. The company’s founders and staff are expected to stay in place, ensuring continuity for existing clients. Macnica Americas gains a dedicated software and consulting arm that can support its customers with more than hardware distribution, moving into long-term digital modernisation work.
The deal marks a shift for Orangeleaf from an independent consultancy to a subsidiary of a larger technology group, giving it more resources for talent development and cross-border projects. The combined organisation is positioned to pursue larger enterprise contracts that require both software engineering and technology infrastructure expertise, particularly in Japan and Southeast Asia, where demand for digital modernisation remains strong.
