Superbet has acquired Napoleon Sports & Casino for an undisclosed amount, marking a significant corporate transaction in the European entertainment sector. This acquisition sees the pan-European Superbet Group take ownership of Napoleon, a prominent Belgian market leader in online entertainment, as well as an operator of physical casinos and arcades. The transaction is a direct purchase of the company, not a funding round for either entity.
Napoleon Sports & Casino, headquartered in Erembodegem near Aalst, has a rich history spanning over 40 years, consistently demonstrating steady growth. The company is the owner and operator of the Grand Casino of Knokke and manages approximately 25 arcades across Belgium, complementing its strong online presence. Napoleon is known for its commitment to sustainable entertainment and currently employs around 400 people. This strategic move allows Superbet to expand its footprint and gain a strong foothold in the regulated Belgian market.
The acquisition is expected to create substantial synergies. Superbet gains Napoleon's established market leadership, extensive operational experience in both online and land-based entertainment, and its strong physical network. For Napoleon's 400 employees, becoming part of the pan-European Superbet Group will offer long-term growth and international development possibilities. The combined entity aims to leverage Superbet's scale with Napoleon's local market expertise and commitment to responsible gaming. This integration is poised to enhance the offering for customers while maintaining high standards of safe and protected entertainment across an expanded operational scope.
