LDC has acquired myHappymind, a company dedicated to children's mental health and wellbeing, for an undisclosed amount. myHappymind provides an NHS-backed mental health and wellbeing curriculum, currently delivered across more than 2,000 schools, with a mission to foster resilient, self-aware, and mentally healthy children.
The myHappymind programme is built on the science of positive psychology, neuroscience, and character education. It equips children with essential life skills, teaching them about brain function, emotion management, positive relationships, and confidence building. The curriculum is designed to integrate seamlessly into school culture, offering ready-to-go lessons that embed into PSHE. Its impact is validated by the University of Chester, showing improvements in self-esteem, emotional literacy, and resilience, and has been recognised with the King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation.
This acquisition represents a strategic move by LDC to invest in the growing field of preventative mental health education. myHappymind's proven efficacy and extensive reach within the education sector make it a valuable addition.
