Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA

Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA has acquired LetsTransport, a tech-enabled urban logistics solution provider, for an undisclosed amount. LetsTransport, founded in 2015 by IIT-Kharagpur alumni Pushkar Singh, Sudarshan Ravi, and Ankit Parasher, aggregates light and medium commercial vehicles for urban logistics. The Bangalore-headquartered company has onboarded over 250,000 truckers across 30 cities, offering reliable and professional services to top bluechip enterprises in sectors like organized retail, FMCG, e-commerce, and cement. Its client roster includes Amazon, Pidilite, Nestle, and Delhivery.

LetsTransport is known for its customized logistics solutions, including screened drivers, GPS-enabled vehicles, point-to-point billing, and 24x7 service, all delivered with transparent pricing. The company has established itself as a market leader in the enterprise segment and has played a significant role in integrating the underserved urban trucker community into the mainstream economy. It aims to disrupt the $50bn+ regional logistics industry through technology.

This acquisition marks a strategic expansion for Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, allowing it to gain a direct operational footprint in India's rapidly growing tech-logistics sector. The move is expected to leverage LetsTransport's established network, technological capabilities, and strong client relationships with Bertelsmann's global resources and strategic vision. Synergies are anticipated through enhanced market penetration and the potential to integrate logistics solutions across Bertelsmann's broader portfolio.

The combined entity is poised to accelerate LetsTransport's mission of transforming regional logistics. By combining LetsTransport's operational expertise and innovative platform with Bertelsmann's backing, the acquisition aims to further scale operations, enhance service offerings, and capitalize on the increasing demand for efficient and technology-driven urban logistics solutions across India.
