Bertelsmann Investments has acquired LetsTransport, a Bangalore-headquartered tech-enabled logistics solution provider, for an undisclosed amount. LetsTransport, founded in 2015 by IIT-Kharagpur alumni Pushkar Singh, Sudarshan Ravi, and Ankit Parasher, specializes in aggregating light and medium commercial vehicles for urban logistics across India.
The acquired company has established itself as a market leader in the enterprise segment, serving top bluechip enterprises across 30 cities. Its platform has onboarded over 250,000 truckers and works with clients in organized retail, FMCG, e-commerce, cement, and 3PL sectors, including Amazon, Pidilite, Nestle, and Delhivery. LetsTransport offers customized logistics solutions with value-added services like screened drivers, GPS-enabled vehicles, and 24x7 service, aiming to disrupt the $50bn+ regional-logistics industry through technology. It is also recognized for its role in integrating the underserved urban trucker community into the mainstream economy.
This acquisition marks a strategic move for Bertelsmann Investments, which was already an investor in LetsTransport, having contributed to its US$50 million funding to date. The full acquisition underscores Bertelsmann's commitment to the tech-logistics sector and its confidence in LetsTransport's proven model and market leadership. By bringing LetsTransport fully into its fold, Bertelsmann aims to further capitalize on the company's potential to innovate and expand within India's rapidly evolving logistics landscape.
The integration is expected to foster greater synergies, leveraging Bertelsmann's strategic oversight with LetsTransport's operational expertise and technological capabilities. The combined entity is poised to accelerate its mission of providing efficient, transparent, and professional logistics services, enhancing its reach and impact on enterprise clients and the broader urban logistics ecosystem across India.
