Academedia has acquired KIDS&Co., a Polish network of 33 bilingual preschools and nurseries operating across ten cities, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings the Polish early education provider under the ownership of the Swedish education group, which manages schools and preschools across several European countries. KIDS&Co. will continue to operate under its existing brand, with its current leadership team remaining in place to manage day-to-day operations.
KIDS&Co. has over two decades of experience in early childhood education, serving children from nursery through kindergarten and the pre-primary year. Its curriculum integrates emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development, with a focus on bilingual instruction. The network operates in Warsaw, Łódź, Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Poznań, Katowice, Suwałki, and Ostrów Mazowiecka. Academedia, headquartered in Stockholm, is one of the largest private education providers in the Nordic region, with a portfolio spanning preschools, compulsory schools, and upper secondary institutions.
The acquisition is part of Academedia’s strategy to expand its footprint in Central and Eastern Europe, where demand for private bilingual early education has been growing steadily. For KIDS&Co., joining the Academedia group provides access to a larger operational framework, including shared pedagogical resources, administrative support, and procurement efficiencies. The Polish company will retain its local curriculum and teaching methods, while benefiting from the group’s experience in scaling education networks across different markets.
The deal is expected to strengthen Academedia’s position in Poland’s private preschool segment, which remains fragmented compared to the Nordic market. KIDS&Co.’s established presence in major Polish cities offers a solid base for further organic growth and potential follow-on acquisitions in the region. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals, with completion anticipated in the coming months. Both parties have indicated that no immediate changes to staffing, enrollment, or program offerings are planned for existing families.
