GC AI has acquired Jetify, the cloud backend development platform formerly known as jetpack.io, for an undisclosed amount. The deal transfers ownership of Jetify’s technology and team to GC AI, which will integrate the acquired capabilities into its existing product suite. Jetify will cease operating as an independent entity following the transaction.
Jetify builds tools that simplify how engineers create and manage scalable backend infrastructure on cloud platforms. Its founding team includes veterans from Airbnb, Google, Facebook, Stripe, Twitter, and Microsoft, bringing deep experience in distributed systems and developer tooling. GC AI, which focuses on AI-driven software development solutions, is acquiring these assets to broaden its reach into the infrastructure layer of the development lifecycle.
The acquisition is strategic for GC AI because it adds a backend orchestration layer to its existing AI-powered coding tools. By combining Jetify’s infrastructure automation with GC AI’s code generation and analysis capabilities, the company aims to offer a more complete workflow-from writing code to deploying and running it in production. For Jetify, the deal provides access to GC AI’s distribution channels and a larger engineering organization to accelerate product development.
No financial terms were disclosed, and neither company has provided details on how Jetify’s current customer base will be migrated. GC AI has stated that Jetify’s core team will remain intact and will operate as a dedicated unit within the company. The integration is expected to proceed over the coming quarters, with existing Jetify products continuing to function during the transition.
The combined entity will focus on delivering a unified platform that spans code creation and cloud deployment, targeting engineering teams that want to reduce operational overhead. Whether this leads to a single integrated product or a suite of connected tools remains to be seen, but the acquisition gives GC AI a tangible foothold in backend infrastructure, a segment it previously did not serve directly.
