Eiffage has acquired Inmotechnia, a Spanish specialist in building control and energy management systems, for an undisclosed amount. This corporate takeover marks a strategic move by Eiffage to bolster its capabilities in the rapidly evolving smart building and energy efficiency sectors. The acquisition is not a funding round but a direct purchase of the company.
Founded in 2003 as Amez Control by Juan Carlos Brea, Inmotechnia has grown from a BMS specialist and exclusive TREND CONTROLS partner into a key player in the integration and maintenance of building systems. The company partners with leading manufacturers such as Trend Controls, Schneider Electric, Tridium, and Honeywell. Inmotechnia focuses on delivering turnkey projects tailored to client technological needs, offering solutions and services in engineering, execution, commissioning, and maintenance for Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS). With over 60 highly qualified professionals, Inmotechnia operates four delegations across Madrid, Bilbao, Sevilla, and the Canary Islands.
This acquisition is strategically significant for Eiffage, allowing it to integrate Inmotechnia’s deep expertise in automation, energy efficiency, and cybersecurity for buildings. Eiffage gains access to Inmotechnia’s specialized talent and established presence in the Iberian market, enhancing its own service portfolio in advanced building solutions. The synergy is expected to drive innovation in smart building technologies and sustainable energy practices, particularly as Inmotechnia has been expanding its technological offerings and developing an I+D+i department for new software and hardware applications.
The integration of Inmotechnia into Eiffage’s operations is set to create a more comprehensive offering for clients seeking advanced, energy-efficient, and intelligently managed building infrastructure. The combined entity is poised to capitalize on increasing demand for connected and sustainable buildings, leveraging Inmotechnia’s proven track record and Eiffage's broader market reach to deliver enhanced value and innovative solutions in the built environment.
