AAR CORP has acquired HAECO Americas for an undisclosed amount. HAECO Americas, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, specializes in world-class airframe maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, alongside aircraft modification for commercial, military, and private aircraft. Its Airframe Services division manages light and heavy scheduled maintenance checks, exterior and interior modifications, upgrades, and conversions. The company also provides full backshop support, including machining, composite repair, and fabrication of aircraft parts and components, employing over 1,000 technicians across two U.S. locations: Greensboro, North Carolina, and Lake City, Florida.
This acquisition significantly expands AAR CORP's presence and capabilities within the aviation services sector. The strategic move allows AAR CORP to integrate HAECO Americas' extensive MRO expertise and established operational footprint. HAECO Americas' specialized services in airframe maintenance, coupled with its highly skilled workforce and multi-hangar facilities, are expected to complement AAR CORP's existing aviation service offerings.
The transaction is anticipated to generate synergies by broadening the scope of services available to customers across the commercial, military, and private aviation segments. By incorporating HAECO Americas' comprehensive MRO and modification proficiencies, AAR CORP aims to strengthen its market position, offering a more robust and integrated suite of solutions. The addition of HAECO Americas' two key U.S. facilities further enhances operational capacity and geographic reach.
Looking ahead, the combined entity is positioned to deliver enhanced value through expanded service offerings and increased operational efficiencies. This strategic purchase underscores a commitment to providing comprehensive aviation support and is expected to reinforce the combined organization's standing as a leading provider in the global aviation aftermarket.
