OpenFX has acquired Global Ledger, a Swiss-based blockchain analytics company, for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings the compliance-focused technology platform under OpenFX’s ownership, expanding its capabilities in digital asset monitoring and risk management.
Global Ledger provides real-time AML compliance, transaction monitoring, and investigation support for crypto businesses, financial institutions, regulators, and law enforcement. Its tools include advanced know-your-transaction monitoring, AI-powered risk alerts, entity exposure analysis, wallet screening, and fund tracing for case investigations. The platform supports over 700,000 digital assets, monitors more than 30 million wallets daily, and processes requests with an average speed of 500 milliseconds. Its client base includes organizations such as the UN, Europol, and the OSCE, along with major financial regulators.
For OpenFX, the acquisition adds a mature compliance infrastructure to its existing offerings. The company gains access to Global Ledger’s real-time screening and investigation capabilities, which can be integrated into its broader financial technology services. This move is intended to strengthen OpenFX’s position in serving regulated entities that require robust oversight of digital asset flows.
The transaction is expected to combine Global Ledger’s specialized analytics with OpenFX’s distribution and operational resources. By retaining the Swiss-based team and its technology stack, OpenFX aims to offer a more complete solution for clients navigating evolving regulatory requirements. The deal also broadens OpenFX’s reach into the compliance and law enforcement segments, where demand for transparent blockchain monitoring continues to grow.
With the acquisition complete, the combined entity will focus on scaling Global Ledger’s tools across OpenFX’s existing customer base while maintaining current service levels for regulators and institutional users. The integration is expected to proceed without disruption to ongoing monitoring or investigation workflows.
