GINDOU CINEMA, an association established in 1989 in Gindou, Lot, is renowned for its foundational activity, Les Rencontres cinéma de Gindou, a prominent film festival. The acquisition marks a significant expansion for Orveda into the cultural and cinematic landscape.
GINDOU CINEMA operates from a facility that includes Le Cinéma de Verdure, a 700-seat open-air amphitheater. Since 2018, it also utilizes L’Arsénic, a local cinema and performance hall, for year-round activities and festival screenings. Beyond its festival, GINDOU CINEMA is a recognized national resource hub for cinema, employing six permanent staff. It develops film education programs primarily for young audiences and offers professional services such as scriptwriting residencies and a film shoot reception office, contributing significantly to the local economy.
