FOGTEC Fire Protection Acquired by Deutsche Private Equity

Deutsche Private Equity (DPE) has acquired FOGTEC® Fire Protection, a specialist in high-performance fire suppression systems. The purchase price was not disclosed. The transaction transfers ownership of the owner-managed company to the private equity firm, with the existing management team expected to remain in place.

FOGTEC, active for over 25 years, develops and installs water mist and gas-based systems for challenging environments. Its technology protects sensitive assets including data centers, industrial facilities, and public infrastructure such as underground stations, rolling stock, and cable tunnels. DPE focuses on investments in mid-sized industrial and technology companies, typically supporting growth through operational improvements and international expansion.

The acquisition gives DPE a foothold in the specialized fire protection niche, a market driven by rising safety regulations and the need to safeguard high-value, hard-to-replace assets. For FOGTEC, the new ownership provides access to DPE’s capital base and network, which can support scaling its sales operations beyond current markets. The company’s existing product portfolio and engineering expertise remain central to the strategy, with no immediate changes to its operational structure announced.

DPE’s approach generally involves working with founders to professionalize processes while preserving technical identity.
