Element Fleet Management has acquired FleetPartners Group in a transaction valued at an undisclosed amount. The deal brings the ASX 300-listed vehicle leasing, fleet management, and employee benefits provider under Element’s ownership, marking the end of FleetPartners’ standalone listing on the Australian Securities Exchange.

FleetPartners manages more than 90,000 vehicles for businesses of all sizes, offering leasing and fleet administration services alongside salary-packaging and employee benefit programs for Australian workers. Element Fleet Management, a global fleet management company, focuses on optimizing vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal for corporate clients across North America, Australia, and New Zealand. The acquisition expands Element’s footprint in the Australian market, where FleetPartners has established a strong base in both commercial fleet operations and the niche area of employee benefits tied to vehicle access.

The strategic rationale centers on scale and complementary service lines. Element gains access to FleetPartners’ established client relationships and its dual revenue streams from fleet management and salary packaging, a segment Element has not previously emphasized. For FleetPartners, the acquisition provides access to Element’s broader technology platform and cross-border capabilities, which could enhance service efficiency for existing customers. The combined entity is expected to consolidate back-office functions and leverage shared procurement power, though specific integration plans have not been disclosed.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the coming months. Once completed, the merged operation will rank among the larger fleet management providers in the Australian market, with a combined vehicle portfolio exceeding 100,000 units. FleetPartners’ employee benefits division will continue to operate under its existing brand, while Element assumes oversight of fleet operations. The outcome will likely reshape competitive dynamics in Australian fleet leasing, where mid-sized players face pressure from larger global rivals.
