John Sisk & Son Ltd has acquired Farrans Construction for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition transfers ownership of Farrans, a leading building and civil engineering contractor with over 80 years’ experience of delivering world-class projects across the UK and Ireland. Farrans, which employs more than 650 people and has offices in Belfast, London, Leeds, Monaghan, and Edinburgh, was previously a sister company of Tarmac and part of CRH.
John Sisk & Son Ltd, a prominent international construction and engineering group, will integrate Farrans' extensive portfolio. Farrans' expertise covers a broad spectrum, including building projects like living spaces, public sector, healthcare, education, and commercial fit-outs, alongside significant civil engineering works in transportation, water, marine, and energy sectors. This strategic purchase is aimed at enhancing John Sisk & Son's capabilities and market presence across the UK and Ireland by incorporating Farrans’ established operational network and specialized skills.
