JVCKENWOOD has acquired ESChat for an undisclosed amount, integrating the leading provider of Push-to-Talk (PTT) over LTE communications into its portfolio. ESChat offers a full-featured PTT over cellular application, including encrypted voice and multimedia messaging, real-time location reporting, and breadcrumb tracking. Its services, which support Android, iOS, and PC Desktops, are utilized by the U.S. Military, as well as Federal, State, and Local law enforcement agencies, operating across FirstNet Band 14 LTE, commercial carriers, and WiFi. ESChat is also FedRAMP® Authorized and FirstNet Certified.
This acquisition strategically expands JVCKENWOOD's professional communication offerings. JVCKENWOOD, a prominent provider of land mobile radio and professional communication systems, aims to strengthen its capabilities in broadband PTT solutions. The move allows JVCKENWOOD to deliver a more comprehensive and integrated communication platform that bridges traditional radio networks with modern cellular technologies.
Expected synergies include the integration of ESChat's robust PTT over cellular technology, which features interoperability with LMR radio networks via RoIP, ISSI, and AIS, into JVCKENWOOD's existing product lines. This will enable customers, particularly in public safety and enterprise sectors, to benefit from enhanced secure communication tools that operate across diverse devices and infrastructures. The combined entity is positioned to offer seamless, multi-network communication.
The combined operations are expected to address the growing demand for converged communication platforms, providing a unified and secure experience to a broader base of mission-critical and commercial users. This strategic purchase underscores a commitment to delivering advanced, reliable communication solutions in an evolving technological landscape.
