Procore Technologies has acquired DroneDeploy for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings DroneDeploy’s robotics and AI-powered reality capture platform under the umbrella of Procore, a provider of construction management software. The transaction has closed, and DroneDeploy will operate as part of Procore’s broader technology stack.
DroneDeploy builds software that integrates aerial drones, ground robots, 360-degree cameras, and fixed imaging systems with proprietary AI. Its platform is used by large enterprises in construction, energy, and agriculture to automate field data collection, monitor site conditions, and improve safety. Procore, by contrast, offers a cloud-based platform for project management, financials, and collaboration, widely adopted across the construction industry.
The acquisition is strategic for Procore because it adds a layer of visual intelligence and automated field capture to its existing project management tools. Instead of relying on manual progress reports or separate imaging systems, Procore customers will be able to connect drone and robot data directly into their project workflows. For DroneDeploy, joining Procore provides a larger distribution channel into construction firms that already rely on Procore for daily operations.
The combined offering is expected to give construction teams a more unified view of job sites, from raw imagery to actionable insights. DroneDeploy’s AI models can identify issues such as safety hazards or progress deviations, and that data can now flow into Procore’s project records.
