Quorum Cyber has acquired Difenda, a privately held Sec-Ops-As-A-Service company, for an undisclosed amount in September 2024. The acquisition sees the cybersecurity firm integrate Difenda’s specialized Microsoft security operations capabilities, enhancing its global service delivery.
Difenda, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, operates with a “Cybersecurity-First, Microsoft-Always” approach, providing 24/7/365 security operations. The company’s services are backed by PCI, SOC 2 Type II, and ISO 27001 certified Cyber Command Centers. Known as a trusted provider of Microsoft Security services, Difenda has a history as one of the first MSSPs to join the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA). It holds elite Microsoft Security Solutions Partner status with Advanced Specializations in Cloud Security and Threat Protection, and has achieved Microsoft Verified Managed XDR Solution status. These accolades include the 2023 Microsoft Security Impact Award and recognition as a 2024 Microsoft Security Partner of the Year Finalist.
This strategic purchase strengthens Quorum Cyber’s position as a global leader of Microsoft Security services. The integration of Difenda's deep expertise in Microsoft security, particularly its advanced specializations and proven operational centers, is expected to create significant synergies. These include an expanded service portfolio, enhanced threat protection capabilities, and a broader operational footprint, allowing the combined entity to offer a more robust and comprehensive security solution to customers worldwide.
The combination of Quorum Cyber and Difenda is set to establish a more formidable presence in the global cybersecurity market, providing an extensive suite of Microsoft-focused security services designed to address complex modern cyber challenges.
