Fluidra North America has acquired Deutsche Hydrapro LLC for an undisclosed amount. The transaction, completed under terms not publicly released, transfers ownership of the trailer braking specialist to the North American arm of the global pool and industrial equipment group. Deutsche Hydrapro will operate as part of Fluidra’s broader portfolio, though no immediate changes to its management or Australian production base were announced.
Deutsche Hydrapro brings over 90 years of hydraulic engineering heritage to the deal. The company designs and manufactures Electric-Over-Hydraulic (EOH) brake actuators in Australia, developed in collaboration with European hydraulic engineers. Its product line focuses on trailer braking systems for commercial and recreational vehicles, with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, and continuous innovation. Fluidra North America, a division of the larger Fluidra group, supplies equipment and solutions for water movement and industrial applications across the region.
The acquisition is strategic for Fluidra as it expands beyond its core water infrastructure business into vehicle braking technology. Deutsche Hydrapro’s established engineering capabilities and global customer base offer Fluidra a new revenue stream in the transportation sector. For Deutsche Hydrapro, the deal provides access to Fluidra’s extensive distribution network and manufacturing resources, which could accelerate the rollout of its next-generation braking systems.
