Nasdaq has acquired Dasseti, a provider of investment data management software, for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings Dasseti’s platform for due diligence, investor relations, and ESG reporting under Nasdaq’s broader suite of governance and analytics tools.

Dasseti specializes in streamlining how institutional investors, consultants, and asset managers collect, analyze, and report on investment data. Its software automates workflows around due diligence questionnaires, ESG compliance, and investor communications, drawing on a database built from over 200,000 data requests and more than two million analyzed data points. The company has also been recognized for its work, including three consecutive Best ODD Awards from Private Equity Wire and a spot in the Chartis RiskTech AI 50 for 2024.

For Nasdaq, the acquisition expands its capabilities in the alternative investments and private markets segment. By integrating Dasseti’s AI-driven data management tools, Nasdaq can offer clients a more complete solution for managing complex reporting and compliance requirements. The move aligns with Nasdaq’s focus on providing technology that supports transparency and efficiency across financial markets, particularly as institutional investors face growing demands for ESG and operational due diligence data.

The transaction is expected to combine Dasseti’s specialized expertise with Nasdaq’s global distribution and regulatory infrastructure. Dasseti’s existing client base, which includes firms managing $34 trillion in assets, will gain access to Nasdaq’s broader ecosystem of market technology and analytics. Nasdaq, in turn, gains a foothold in the due diligence and ESG software niche, a segment with increasing regulatory relevance.

Post-acquisition, Dasseti will operate as part of Nasdaq’s technology division, with its team continuing to develop its product suite. The combined offering is positioned to address the rising complexity of investment data management, particularly around AI adoption and ESG reporting standards. As regulatory scrutiny intensifies, the integration aims to give clients a more unified approach to data governance and investor transparency.
