Elevion Group

Elevion Group has acquired BTS Biogas, an Italian company specializing in the development and production of tailor-made and technology-intensive biogas and biomethane plants, for an undisclosed amount. This corporate acquisition marks a significant expansion for Elevion Group into the renewable energy sector. BTS Biogas brings over 25 years of experience in anaerobic digestion, leading the entire process from design and construction to operation and maintenance of agricultural, agro-industrial, and organic waste biogas facilities. The company has successfully built over 230 plants worldwide and directly invests in new plant development across Europe and the USA.

This strategic acquisition enhances Elevion Group's capabilities in sustainable infrastructure and energy solutions. BTS Biogas's expertise in delivering high-reliability, advanced technology solutions, coupled with its comprehensive service offerings, including 24/7 biological and mechanical assistance, spare parts availability within 48 hours, and its dedicated METANLab for performance analysis, aligns with a focus on robust, long-term energy solutions. The company also supports customers as an investor partner and constructs customized plants, from biomass pre-treatment to the optimal disposal of anaerobic digestion outcomes such as energy, bio-fertilizers, heat, and CO2.

BTS Biogas currently employs over 100 professionals across its headquarters in Affi and Brunico, and its foreign branches in France, the United Kingdom, and the USA. The company's commitment to fostering the circular economy through the optimal disposal of food industry leftovers and the organic fraction of municipal waste, while contributing to innovative agricultural practices and sustainable paths in livestock farming, will be a key asset. By producing biogas and biomethane that turn into biofuels, electric and thermal energy, organic soil conditioners and fertilizers, and carbon dioxide for food use, BTS Biogas plays a vital role in driving the ecological transition. The combined entity is now better positioned to deliver comprehensive, sustainable energy solutions and drive further advancements in the renewable energy sector.
