Bernhard Capital Partners has acquired Birck Engineering, a Bowman Company, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction transfers ownership of the multidisciplinary engineering and design firm from Bowman Consulting Group Ltd., which had brought Birck into its portfolio in 2025, to the private investment firm.
Birck Engineering, founded in 2017, provides engineering and design services to industrial and infrastructure clients across multiple markets. The firm has built a track record of responsive service and technical execution, with consistent year-over-year growth since its inception. Under Bowman’s ownership, Birck expanded its operational resources while retaining its client-focused approach. Bernhard Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on services and infrastructure, will now take over as the new owner.
The acquisition aligns with Bernhard Capital’s strategy of investing in engineering and technical service businesses with strong fundamentals. For Birck, the change in ownership is expected to provide access to additional capital and broader market opportunities, allowing the firm to pursue larger projects and expand its client base. The deal also enables Bowman to divest a non-core asset, sharpening its focus on its primary consulting operations.
For Birck’s existing clients, the transition is designed to be seamless, with the firm’s leadership and project teams expected to remain in place. The combined entity will continue to operate under the Birck Engineering name, leveraging Bernhard Capital’s resources to deepen its presence in the industrial and infrastructure sectors. The acquisition positions Birck to build on its growth trajectory with a new parent company dedicated to long-term development in the engineering space.
