Imarticus Learning has acquired BELLS Institute of Higher Learning for an undisclosed amount. The transaction, completed through a share purchase agreement, transfers full ownership of the Singapore-based training provider to the Indian professional education company. BELLS will continue to operate under its existing brand, with its management team remaining in place to ensure continuity for current students and staff.
BELLS Institute of Higher Learning operates multiple learning centers across Singapore, delivering Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses designed to equip local professionals with practical skills for in-demand roles. Its programs are supported by government initiatives including SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Workforce Singapore (WSG), which fund lifelong learning and career development for citizens. Imarticus Learning, headquartered in India, provides professional certification and training programs across finance, analytics, and technology, serving a large base of working professionals and recent graduates.
The acquisition gives Imarticus a direct physical presence in Singapore, a market it previously served through online offerings. For BELLS, the deal provides access to Imarticus’s broader curriculum development resources and its established network of corporate partners. The combined entity will be able to cross-sell courses, with BELLS’s WSQ programs complementing Imarticus’s commercial certifications. Both companies expect to share instructional design expertise and administrative infrastructure, potentially reducing operational costs while expanding course catalogs.
Singapore’s emphasis on upskilling, backed by sustained government funding, makes the market attractive for private education providers. The acquisition allows Imarticus to tap into this demand without building a local footprint from scratch, while BELLS gains scale and financial backing. Regulatory approvals for the deal have been secured, and integration of back-office functions is expected to proceed over the coming quarters.
The combined organization will focus on broadening BELLS’s course offerings beyond current WSQ categories, while maintaining its alignment with national skills priorities. Students can expect the same certification pathways, with additional options in data analytics and financial services likely to be introduced as the integration matures.
