This corporate acquisition sees Safran Defense & Space, Inc. taking full ownership of Attollo Engineering, integrating its specialized capabilities into Safran's broader defense and space portfolio.
Attollo Engineering, founded in 2012 and based in Camarillo, California, develops cutting-edge electro-optical subassemblies and finished products. Their expertise spans uncooled InGaAs SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR focal plane arrays and cameras, along with advanced laser sensing solutions for seeker, warning, and targeting applications, as well as LiDAR and 3D imaging components. The company operates an AS9100 D-certified 34,000 square foot facility, including 5,000 square feet of cleanroom space for semiconductor fabrication and sensor packaging.
This strategic acquisition is expected to significantly enhance Safran Defense & Space, Inc.'s offerings in the electro-optical market.
