The transaction brings the San Antonio-based turbocharger specialist under the ownership of the Houston-headquartered machinery service provider, which completed the purchase to broaden its aftermarket capabilities.
Alamo Turbocharger Services has operated for more than three decades, focusing exclusively on the service and repair of turbochargers used across oil and gas, marine, on-road, and off-road applications. The company describes itself as a small, tight-knit team that credits the quality of its employees for the quality of its output, with a daily mission centered on relentless pursuit of excellence. Cooper Machinery Services, by contrast, provides a wider range of rotating equipment support, including repair, maintenance, and field services for compressors and related machinery.
The acquisition is strategic for Cooper because it adds a dedicated turbocharger repair line to its existing portfolio, allowing the company to serve customers who previously had to source this specialized work elsewhere. For Alamo, joining Cooper provides access to a larger operational footprint and a broader customer base without altering its core focus.
